Large walnut sideboard designed by Finn Juhl for Baker Furniture. A generous amount of storage in an attractive design. Two sliding doors move smoothly to reveal a fixed shelf (removable) on the
left side, and the right side has two drawers (one for silver/flatware) and a large area for more storage. It's a very functional size for use in a dining room, or even in an office.
This piece appears simple, but has many details when you look closer. There is a raised edge/ lip at the sides and back, framing the surface in; the grain patterns are expertly chosen, and the
framing detail at the doors is beautiful. Signed with Baker Furniture oval silver tag inside the second drawer.
CONDITION NOTES: This piece should be refinished / restored. It has some small chipping and the finish generally is rough and/or thin, particularly on the top. The wood is
generally dry. Where the right side joins to the case, it appears to have been repaired (amateur job) from pulling slightly away. There are water marks to the piece.
